Day 1 will cover using card to create simple collaged printing plates, which are inked with a roller to produce striking relief prints with clean lines.
Day 2 will cover simple collagraphs. Unsealed plates provide different opportunities for mark-making from sealed plates, and different results. Explore the rich tones of torn paper and the textural effects of tin foil!
Day 3 will cover sealed collagraphs using a variety of materials. I have been making collagraphs for over 24 years and still enjoy the huge potential and surprising degree of subtlety that this medium offers.
All materials and equipment provided; however you may wish to bring along your own selection of materials to try.
