Nature in print 2B

In this new workshop you will be able to explore my technique of combining relief prints from natural objects (inked with a roller) with a hand-cut paper stencil, printing on Maruishi, a delicate Japanese paper, to build a beautiful image in several layers. I will provide natural materials pressed ready for you to use; the choice of image is yours. Bring along a photograph or drawing, or work from some of the many photographs in my image bank. I will show examples of finished work and the stencils I have made and used, then you will cut your own stencil. After that the fun really starts when we get out the ink!
